Project Layout Call
Lay it all out! As our starting block, this 15-30 minute call helps define what we’re trying to build. We establish what success looks like to you by defining project requirements and key milestones.

We prioritize nice-to-haves vs need-to-haves by dissecting your product development roadmap and uncovering potential obstacles along the way.
DFM & Quote Proposal
This initial tender is where we provide our DFM feedback and direction consistent with the technical specs discussed during the Project Layout Call.

We unpack the cost, quality, and lead-time drivers specific to your project. This will become our platform for project collaboration and iteration. If you’re not feeling the partnership after this meeting, then we’re probably not the right fit. This takes about 60 minutes.

With injection molding you can tool up 100 different ways but there’s often one right way to get it done. Our pre-kick off process was designed to uncover that right way with you.

Here’s a look at two extremes using our favorite Lego brick.

The outcome might look and feel like a Lego brick but it won’t function as Lego brick. It wont have that iconic ‘click’ and ‘hold’ a true Lego has. Low cost/quick-turn tooling doesn’t account for this functional quality or tolerance limitations.

Lego holds their flagship part to an incredible 0.005mm tolerance—DANG! Ultra-high precision engineering is not the first thing you think of when you look at a lego brick but very important to understand the difference in quality and precision.
